Several hours later we will start to celebrate World Azerbaijanis Solidarity Day and the New Year.
The foundation of Day of solidarity of Azerbaijanians of the world was laid in December, 1989 in Nakhichevan, during the destruction of frontiers between the former USSR and Iran. At this time in the Istanbul took place a conference of the Turkish-speaking people. During the conference was made the decision to celebrate annually solidarity of Azerbaijanians of the world. After 1989 in the life of Azerbaijanians happened many changes, most important from which is the gaining of the independence of Azerbaijan. Today, the Azerbaijanians living around the world fairly are proud of independent Azerbaijan. Independence which we gained 25 years ago is the greatest happiness for us.
